IITS offering tech support for faculty email account transfer
Instructional and Information Technology Services (IITS) is in the process of migrating all faculty and staff email addresses from their current system to a single integrated server. Over the next few weeks, the IITS Service Desk will be contacting faculty members currently assigned Alcor-based email addresses (ex: jdoe@alcor.concordia.ca) to schedule an appointment for a technician to perform the transfer.

DPrint (Xerox) Public network loaders unavailable: May 3 2012
Please be advised that access to DPrint loaders is currently unavailable due to emergency maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. More information will be posted on iits.concordia.ca in the near future. If you require immediate printing services please visit a DPrint counter in LB 115 or CJ 1.422.

Interruption to several online services: Saturday April 28, 2012
At the request of the Student Accounts Office and in keeping with the annual schedule of end of winter term processing and database activities, please be advised that the following services will be unavailable from Friday, Apr. 27th, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. to Saturday, Apr. 28th at 11:00 a.m:
• Application fee payments for web admissions
• Confirmation deposit payments
• Graduation fee payments
• Residence application fee payments
Furthermore the following MyConcordia Portal services will be unavailable on Saturday, Apr. 28th from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m:
• Web Registration
• Account Balance reporting

IITS Computer Labs open doors to students during exams
Students looking for a place to work on assignments, access online course notes or get in a last-minute study session during the examination period should stop by the IITS Computer Labs.
From April 12-29, the Henry F. Hall Building’s two ninth-floor labs (H-923 and H-980) will be available to current Concordia students, weekdays from 8:30 am to 11:00 pm and Saturdays from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm. The CC-214 computer lab at Loyola Campus is also open during the same period.
All facilities offer Microsoft Office-equipped workstations and access to the DPrint network of multifunction printer/copier/scanners. Students planning on printing documents should load funds on their ID cards prior to visiting the labs.
Concordia ID is not necessary, but you must be a current student, with active netname and password, to log into the lab terminals.

E-mail phishing attacks
In the wake of several phishing scams at Concordia (please see latest below), we wish to remind everyone to please delete any such e-mails immediately.
Phishers send out mass e-mails to targeted recipients with the hopes of at least a few recipients replying with their personal information. Unfortunately, Concordia is often targeted due to the large number of account holders.
Concordia University will never ask for your personal information by phone, e-mail, or URL unless it is in response to a support request you have initiated. Concordia University will never ask for your password, nor should businesses, banks, and other institutions. Please take the time to read our e-mail phishing FAQ available at: http://helpline.concordia.ca/email/scams.
If you clicked on the URL or replied to the e-mail with your username and password, please change your Alcor and netname passwords immediately by following these steps:
• Log into your MyConcordia portal at: http://myconcordia.ca.
• Click on "Personal Services" in the main menu followed by "Computer Accounts & Passwords".
• Under "Existing personal accounts" click on your Alcor and netname accounts.
• You will then have the option to enter a new secure password.
